Pricing Depends On Licensing Model

Why Branch Systems?

Branch Systems is one of the few SAP partners that is WILLING to quote, implement, and support every licensing & hosting model in the SAP Business One ecosystem—Perpetual, Subscription, SAP Partner‑Controlled Cloud, (PCC), on‑prem, or public cloud. Because we’re not tied to a single revenue track, we can be brutally transparent about the real economics and constraints behind each option.

What that means for you:

  • One Worksheet, All Scenarios — We place Perpetual and SaaS models side‑by‑side in a unified 3‑year TCO view.

  • Hidden‑Cost Spotlight — We expose Partner‑Controlled Cloud (PCC) hosting uplifts, annual SaaS escalators, downgrade penalties, and indirect maintenance fees before you sign.

  • Role‑Based Sizing — Our Fit/GAP session maps job roles to SKUs so you don’t over‑license or pay for shelf‑ware.

  • Neutral Guidance — Our margin is the same whichever model you choose, so advice stays objective.

See our examples below and read the deep‑dive SaaS vs Perpetual cost comparison before you commit.

How We Price Transparently

Exact numbers depend on user mix, database size, add‑ons, and whether you choose HANA or SQL. Instead of a cookie‑cutter table, we give you a personalized TCO worksheet during a 30‑minute call—no pressure, just the math.

You’ll receive:

  1. Side‑by‑side Perpetual vs Subscription cost over 5 years.

  2. Starter Pack vs Professional seat optimization.

  3. Hosting and support add‑ons surfaced—no hidden uplifts.

License Models Explained

A. Perpetual (Professional & Limited Users)

  • One‑time license fee per named user.

  • Optional annual maintenance (20 %) after year 1.

  • Deploy anywhere: on‑prem or any cloud.

  • Best for: long‑term deployments, high user counts, CapEx budgets.

B. Subscription (Partner‑Controlled Cloud)

  • Annual access fee—software stops if subscription lapses.

  • Hosting & maintenance in SAP Partner Controlled Cloud.

  • No large upfront: OpEx model, easy to scale seats up/down yearly.

  • Limitations: Fewer infrastructure controls.

License Types Explained

  1. Professional User – Full access to all modules; ideal for finance, ops managers, super‑users.

  2. Limited User – CRM / Financials / Logistics – Role‑based subset; pay only for core modules needed.

  3. Indirect Access User – API‑based transactions; priced per connection, not per seat.

  4. Starter Pack – Up to 5 users; low‑cost entry for small businesses.

FAQs

  1. Can I mix Perpetual and Subscription users?
No. Each SAP Business One environment must run either a Perpetual license stack or a Subscription/SaaS stack—not both. If you want to switch models we spin up a new environment, migrate data, then swap licenses at renewal.

  2. What happens if I outgrow my Starter Pack?
Credit for the Starter seats is applied toward new Professional or Limited users.

  3. Is HANA runtime included in all models?
Only in the SaaS Subscription model. Perpetual customers purchase HANA runtime (or choose SQL Server) separately—an advantage if you plan to stay on SQL.

  4. What if I stop paying Subscription?
Subscription access is disabled after the grace period, but your data remains exportable for migration.

  5. How long is a quote valid?
30 days due to SAP price‑list cycles.
